DVA, The B&B Way

We know the DVA Claim Process like the back of our hands, and over the years we’ve refined our process to 6 comprehensive steps to make things as easy and stress free as possible – all while giving you the best possible outcome.

  • Step 1:
    Initial Consultation

    1.

You will have a long chat with your Advocate where we will get to know you, your history in the defense forces, and the injuries/illnesses you’re dealing with.

  • Step 2:
    Assessment Stage

    2.

Using our knowledge of the SOP’s and the DVA Claim Process, we’ll put together all the paperwork, and submit the claims for you to ensure it is done properly.

  • Step 3:
    Building And Lodging Your Claim

    3.

When the Screening Team within DVA start to investigate your claims, we’ll organise for you to see one of our trusted DVA Specialist GPs who will assess your condition. We can also assist with psychiatry and psychologist referrals and even arrang medical imaging through a network of imaging providers, at no cost to the veteran

  • Step 4:
    Claim Waiting Period

    4.

Whilst we wait for a DVA Delegate to commence the Determination process, we’ll regularly follow up DVA for updates on your claim, whilst also being available to you for any assistance you need with PAMT’s, Incapacity and ComSuper applications.

  • Step 5:
    Claim Determination

    5.

Toward the end of the process, we’ll help you navigate the Needs Assessments and Permanent Impairment (Compensation) Assessments to ensure your outcome is in line with your condition.

  • Step 6:
    Compensation and Treatment

    6.

Once your Claim is finalised, we will check the DVA Determination against the GARP to ensure your claims have been correctly compensated and provide access to financial guidance on how to best handle your compensation.
