DVA may pay for a veteran’s treatment for all mental health conditions, and certain physical conditions without the requirement to have the claim(s) accepted by DVA as being caused by their service.
Mental Health:
Current and former full time members of the ADF are eligible to get free mental health treatment using their DVA White Card, which includes reserve members who have at least one day of continuous full time service.
It is important to note that this mental health treatment that is funded by DVA does not cover treatment overseas, and you should confirm with the provider that they accept DVA payment, as not all providers do.
